  • performs advanced analysis of data collected by pipeline inspectiontools

  • basic understanding of the underlying tool technology and theory; able to interpret the tool signal data and effectively identify andcharacterize common anomaly types;

  • able to recognize common pipeline fittings and construction methods and is able to identify and characterize them in the inspection tool data;

  • able to perform advanced data set-up, automatic anomaly search/detection and manualanomaly analysis in accordance with documented procedures or verbal instruction;

  • understands and is competent in the use of basic and advanced analysis tools within relevant software applications in order to effectively perform expected analysis duties.

  • understands anomalysizing and strength calculations.

  • creates preliminary and final report data and documents for review.

  • competent to complete all analysis process steps from data set-up to report preparation.

  • Quality Assuranceof data set-up, analysis and data/database prior to report creation.

  • trains and supports lower level analysts.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Science or Math preferred.

  • 2 years related experience.

  • Effective written and oral skills.

  • Analytical aptitude and should be comfortable working under tight time constraints whilst providing thorough and accurate work.

  • Understanding of commonly used pipeline terminology.

  • Knowledge of the operational process of a live inspection.
