Eaton Corporation Field Service Engineer, Power Quality in Moscow, Russia


3-phase Eaton UPS Commissioning, startup, maintenance, repair and technical support.

Under direct supervision of the Country Service Manager the incumbent is responsible for UPS maintenance and service, customers, partners and service contracts support, focused on service sales and revenue growth. In addition, the position is responsible for engaging current customers to buy additional services and maintenance contracts at Eaton, for collecting technical field info, for providing failures analysis and preparing reports to management of any critical issue / development needed in pricing, revenue growth, profitability, processes and customer satisfaction increase.



3-phase Eaton UPS Commissioning, startup, maintenance and repair in Russia and CIS-region according company standards and as negotiated in agreements with customers to insure a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness to customer needs.


Technical support for Eaton customers and service partners (telephone, mail, etc.), negotiate and respond to customers concerning claims or requests, contacting EMEA & Global tech support service.

C. Study 3ph UPS models and provide service trainings for auth service partners for responsible UPS models.


Engage customers to buy additional services and maintenance at Eaton. Prepare Commercial Offer drafts (tech & travelling aspects) for Service sales team under service requests.


Acts as one of contact points for commercial warranty issues, quality issues and customer complaints.


Perform UPS failures, questions, requests, problems analysis and prepare reports to management of any critical issue / development needs.


Assist in the formulation, execution and evaluation of a technology, strategy and service process improvements to meet customer needs.


Provide input and recommendations for service sales growth opportunities.


Assist in developing action plans to improve customer satisfaction performance and safety.


Study special literature and pass trainings for the products under operation, prepare an appropriate instructions for Authorized service partners in Russian.


Performs additional functions as required


Secondary technical education (or last year student) in Engineering, Radio technics, Electronics, Electrical or other approved discipline. Ability to read complex electronics schematics.

Field service engineering experience and closely work with customers highly preferred (but not required!).

Expertise in Uninterruptible Power Supplies, including software is preferred (but not required!).

Advanced computer and measurement instrument skills.

Co-operation skills (customers and company personnel), teamwork, goodwill.

Fluent written and spoken English and Russian.

Flexibility of working hours, ability and willingness to travel all over Russia.

1 year of service experience in UPS/power electronics field service & maintenance desired but not requireid.
