As the Health & Safety Manager you will be focused on assuring compliance to global standards & local regulations in Environmental Health & Safety. You will drive the Environment, Health and Safety program in Russia and work within the local Russian organization, but report into the Global Health & Safety team. Your fields of work are Nike’s retail stores and Nike’s office environment.
Assesses EHS risk and develops risk mitigation efforts.
Drives compliance with local regulatory requirements and Nike EHS standards, whichever are more stringent.
Develop implement and administer EHS policies and procedures. Makes decisions within guidelines and policies.
Develop and supports rolling out of training materials to support and promote employee awareness of environment, health and safety.
Develops internal and/or external partnerships that leverage resources and improve business unit responsiveness.
Monitors and controls costs of own work and may manage costs for small projects or programs
Participate at initiation phase of equipment installation, stores, offices, showrooms set-up to assist in design for safety, health, ergonomic and environmental principles.
Conducts regular visits to stores and offices, inspections, audits and ensure training and compliance requirements are met.
Supports incident and accident investigation and follow-up.
Capture metrics and measurements to demonstrate the impact and efficacy of programs in the business.
Enrich partnerships with key stakeholders to instill common goals into program development.
Higher Education in Environment Health and Safety or associated field with Certificate of Occupational Retraining in the field of Health and Safety.
Additional certifications desired Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Electro Technical Safety training from a recognized Russian body.
5-10 years Environmental Health & Safety experience in multinational environment, preferably in retail environment
Solid knowledge in Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Electro technical safety.
Experience influencing senior leadership to drive results
Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
Strong time management and organization skills
Leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others within work group
Ability to work independently and results oriented
Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse group
Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentations
Fluent in English and Russian
Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
