As a Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for identifying and building new business while managing your existing accounts. The ideal Technical Sales Manager for Kemin Food Technologies has sales experience from the European food industry, preferably with a qualification in a food-related subject. As an international account manager in the EMEA region your activity base will be Russia, but you also enjoy working with international customers which requires the ability to travel throughout The EMEA region. You will coordinate customer projects with a focus on the Russia market,and you travel to Belarus, Kazakhstan,Baltic States,when required.

You are fluent in Russian and English.

Your personal skills include being a very challenging and strong communicator, autonomous and with a self-starting mind set. You are flexible, persuasive, results driven and creative in finding customer solutions. You will have significant decision-making responsibilities in this position and therefore you will need to be mature and with the credibility to operate independently. You are diligent in project management in order to assure that all commitments to customers are being met.


  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about their industry and offer unique perspectives on their business, which link back to KFT‘s technical solutions

  • Orchestrate the entire sales process with a customer: decide the timing of the process and strategically divide resources among various current and potential customers, leading to continued volume and profit growth in accounts

  • Support the implementation of the product applications on site with the customer and tracking possible changes and further development with the accounts in future application of our products

  • Initiate and realize new business relationships in various market segments

  • Maintain and expand business with existing customers, whilst also increasing the sales and profitability for the region

  • Actively manage projects with customers including the updating of the CRM database and cross-functional alignment of the required resources such as Customer service, Customer Laboratory Services, marketing, regulatory and other functions in order to give optimal support to customers and ensure sales is successfully completed

  • Work closely with other Sales Managers and the Marketing Manager in the EMEA region on product and market awareness, as well as competitor analysis

  • Set the annual sales budget together with the President for Kemin Food Technologies EMEA

  • Develop the area strategy in terms of product focus and target customers (customer portfolio and product mix) together with the President for Kemin Food Technologies EMEA

  • Advance the commercial reputation of Kemin through appearance at scientific events and trade shows

  • Project Management as a key task to ensure success in the region

  • Forecasting as a way to communicate projections for operations and planning


  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with a preference for sciences or Food technology / ingredients or equivalent by one’s experience

  • Fluent Russian and English - additional languages are a plus

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a B2B sales environment, preferably within the food industry

  • Strategic Thinking: Systematically solves problems and hypothesizes possible customer pain points, expectations, and implicit needs; brainstorms with team members to devise solutions to solve complex challenges

  • Interpersonal Influence: Uses rational and emotional drivers that would appeal to customers to comfortably drive negotiation conversations. Influence customer stakeholders at all levels
