Job Purpose (Mission)
Drive the development and growth of the Renal Care Solutions (RCS)business in Russia.
This unique role will:
1.Take ownership to drive the Chronic End Stage Renal Disease treatment business, Acute Therapies business and Renal Access business in Russia.
2.Assume a full PL responsibility for a RCS Business within Russian territory that extends to both, short and long term budgeting and strategic planning processes with on-going interaction with the Regional SBU Leader, Country Business Group Leader, and Global/Regional Marketing Leaders to ensure continuous strong growth in revenue and profit.
3.Contribute to creation and enhancement of Medtronic’s image as a leading player in the Renal Disease Therapies market place.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, directing executing all commercial activities to support the RCS organization with the expanding portfolio of renal care solutions.This role will evolve as the RCS division grows and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable with a level of flexibility and opportunity.
MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
There are 4 main areas of responsibility
To understandthe market, create vision and build the RCS business proposition around it.
To define together with the Medtronic in-country organization and the EU RCS leadership team, and in line with Company’s guidelines, the more effective commercial strategies to be applied in the territory to achieve the sales and profitability targets assigned.
To develop programs to identify potential growth opportunities and unmet customer requirements across Renal Therapy segments and focus to move ideas to market place.
Drive both short and mid-term action plans to achieve expected RCS growth leveraging the broad RCS portfolio.
Ensure that relevant data and information are collected on the market and properly communicated within the organization.
Assure alignment in other functional areas such as research, clinical, development, education, reimbursement and sales.
Establish, maintain and foster “Key Customer” relationships (Physicians, Key Opinion Leaders and Key Purchasing Officers) in partnership with the SBU and the Medtronic country organizations.
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business, follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Maximize presentation and sales of RCS products and services to current and potential clients, develop and lead cross business projects by leveraging the broad RCS portfolio.
Take a wide organizational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products.
Manage key distributors both contractually and relationally in alignment, with SBU and local business strategy.
Prepare the annual budget for the relevant structure and ensure its respect during the year.
Achieve agreed budgets, focused on sales growth and gross profit target achievement.
Monitor performance versus objectives, monitor ongoing budget allocation/variances and identify and implement appropriate corrective actions necessary to realign towards Company’s targets.
Ensure that product launches are implemented in line with SBU marketing plan, strategies and tactics (price, positioning, promotion, education etc.)
Provide pricing in alignment with SBU regional strategy, planning for major tenders’ participation, inventory management and consignment policies in partnership with finance and local country management.
Work with Global Business Unit to provide input on forecast, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinical evaluations etc.
The position holder can also lead the team of Therapy Development Specialists and Product Manager (when applicable).
Manage, develop and motivate all staff within the team.
Promote an effective communication flow within the managed team. Ensure that all the necessary information (commercial and none commercial) are properly transferred to the sale force.
Ensure that the dependent structure is properly trained from both the economic and technical perspectives.
Ensure the hiring of skilled and talented personnel and identify talents within the managed organization.

Education Special Attainments:
Bachelor's Degree required. Healthcare related (scientific or engineering) degree or its equivalent is a plus.
Fluent in English,both written and spoken.
Minimum 5 years in a marketing/commercial role in medical devices.
Ability to travel extensively at Country as well as International level up to 50% of time.
