Inventory and Demand Planner

The Role

To have a complete responsibility of the operational and tactical planning of the Rock Tools Supply Chain in the aspects of the forecasting process and operational tasks in inventory replenishment for both internal and external suppliers. The regional planner drives and holds the Regional Sales and Operations Planning meeting with his area of responsibility.

Key Performance Areas

  • Lead the area Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings (To agree with Sales & Marketing managers their Rock Tools requirement(demand) for the next 12 months)

  • Ensure the timely collection of forecast data, perform gap / trend analysis and recommend process improvements (To all stakeholders, see Key stakeholders)

  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of related business systems (to identify the any glitch and any additional reports requires to effectively manage his/her area of responsibility)

  • Ensure continuous communication and collaboration of forecasting and inventory management data with the regions and key stakeholders (The purpose is to balance Rock Tools Demand and Supply for the next rolling 12 months.

  • Provide feedback and make recommendations to regions to ensure orders are created according to the forecast

  • Provide support to internal departments in order to improve inventory management

  • Maintain inventory parameters in collaboration with regional manager for all responsible stockrooms

  • Replenishment Planning based on the forecast (12 months rolling every month)

  • Release orders according to system requisitions and customer orders

  • Manage expediting requests from regions (Once the requirements(demand) for the next 12 months are received from CIS, this role make sure that orders are placed with the suppliers including Sandvik manufacturing plants(Supply) of these Rock Tool that are located globally and make sure that they follow up on delivery dates)

  • Perform detailed inventory analysis opportunities and optimize inventory levels

  • Work with all relevant stakeholders to establish both short and long tern inventory strategies

  • Provide back up support for all team members when required

  • Monitoring KPIs related to inventory (Fill rate, OSMI, DII,OFLT, Forecast accuracy)

Your Profile

  • MiningEngineering Degree, Industrial Management Degree

  • Highly energetic individual with at least 3 - 5 years Inventory management, forecasting & demand Planning.

  • Working knowledge of English and Russian Language (spoken and written) is

  • Driving license

  • Good planning and problem solving skills and be able to quickly resolve issues

  • Analytical Approach

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work in matrix organization
