We are looking for a seasoned paid media marketing leader to join the Central Marketing Organization (CMO).

This position contributes to Microsoft’s success and inspiring your Area marketing team to make Microsoft one of the most engaging, thoughtful and innovative brands in paid media. The paid media is a leader versed in the commercial business to help Microsoft grow our paid media engagement for this specific geographic area.

The Central Marketing Organization (CMO) is the center of Modern Marketing excellence. The CMO brings our modern marketing vision to life, providing leadership and accountability to drive demand generation and create fans through a connected sales and marketing experience. The CMO provides Integrated Marketing and deep discipline expertise in Experiential Marketing, Social Marketing, and Analytics, working in partnership with the respective product and segment teams. The CMO supports all segments (commercial & consumer), products, and cross-product solution areas and maximizes the use of global content, focusing marketing investments in alignment with customer buying scenarios, and leveraging Global Demand Centers (GDC) and Global Engagement Programs (GEPs).

This leader has extensive knowledge of paid media platforms and how paid media works together with social marketing to create best-in-class experiences that drive greater customer engagement. This role's success and experience help teams take a customer-minded approach to paid media programs.

This role will identify and manage scaled programs in paid digital media, such as evergreen/always on search, and in partnership with the Social Command Center Lead, manage the execution of paid social media programs. You will develop and manage scalable performance-based media programs under $25,000 that deliver predictable and measurable customer acquisition and revenue contribution. Additionally, you will partner with the International Media Team (IMT) to support business groups with market business reviews and the impact of paid media on the business.

Besides working with your Area leadership team, your professional partnership and network extends to Microsoft’s headquarters paid marketing leaders to amplify the impact of global media investments. You lead your Area’s paid media capability to smartly maximize marketing investments by using global content and services to deliver a consistent customer experience.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and rapid adopter of leading practices from A14 peers, and a courageous leader skilled in both executing on global strategy and championing effective marketing integration and marketing operations to drive positive business outcomes. You must enjoy ongoing challenges in our multifaceted, highly matrixed organization and the industry that requires a combination of Modern Marketing Profile, Paid Media Marketing leadership and global programs adoption in your Area for the greater cause—all coming together to deliver the customer experience.


The Impact You’ll Be Making

  • Manage scaled programs in paid digital media, such as evergreen/always on search (40%)

  • Drive local non-GEP paid media strategy under $25K. (30% of time)

  • Partner with International Media Team (IMT) for local market relevance for global campaigns. (20% of time)

  • Develop tier-one paid partnership in conjunction with IMT. (5% of time)

  • Define and develop proof of concepts to test innovative digital programs that can scale and building upon work from the A14. (5%% of time)


Who We Are Looking For

Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 4-6 years of Social strategy experience for a global brand and/or digital agency.

  • Proven track record taking a strategic and deeply customer-minded approach to paid media.

  • Strong understanding of current and emerging paid media platforms.

  • Agency and Vendor Management: Ability to evaluate digital capabilities of agencies and vendors and manage to obtain optimal results.

  • Executive presence: Ability to engage with CxO audiences and strong presenter.

  • Organizational Agility, Impact and Influence, Cross Boundary

  • Collaboration and adept at ongoing change management.
